One of the best things about Pokemon Black and White Pokedex is that there’s a new playing group every year. Fans these days are so young that it feels creepier every time I go to a Pokemon expo. The new evolution of players is part of the reason Pokemon hasn’t had to change much of its formula over the past fifteen years or so. Still, the developers have taken note of what fans want, and Pokemon Black and Pokemon White improve in ways that us older fans have been yearning for.
Game Freak didn’t decide to re-invent the wheel, and Black/White retains the same formula for success. You still get to play a 10-year-old kid who doesn’t have a Dad. You still get a grass/fire/water Pokemon from a world renowned Pokemon professor who happens to reside in your small, three building town. You still venture from town to town, kicking everyone’s butts and taking their money as you collect eight badges. And, yes, you still defeat an evil group of people with a villainous plot. For ones groaning, “Oh no, not again!” or “What the heck are you talking about?” listen up. I went from literally catching them all in Diamond/Pearl, to burning out and not finishing HeartGold/SoulSilver, but Black/White brought me back because it has more to offer.
First, the villains aren’t dumbasses. They’re the cliché of an evil group of trainers, but this time they serve the plot of the game. From the very beginning of Pokemon Black and White Pokedex, the mysterious Team Plasma, and the Seven Sages drive the story. They also bring up concepts about the morality of Pokemon that are pretty heavy for the series. They’re a constant presence, showing up in every town, stealing Pokemon, and confusing the protagonist’s motivations. They’re never hiding out in a dumb warehouse waiting for a kid to steal their key card or whatever.
Black/White is also a more streamlined Pokemon experience. The developers have done a lot of small things that make the game run smoother. Some of them are obvious, like combining the Pokemon Center with the Poke Mart, but others are more subtle. Battles run just a smidge faster each turn, for example, speeding up the whole process.
Pokemon Black/White has two new fighting styles: Triple Battles and Rotation Battles. Both are in Black and White, though one gets a larger focus in each. I prefer the Rotation Battles, as the ability to switch Pokemon before the attack every turn adds a new level of strategy. The Triple Battles feel like bigger Double Battles, which isn’t bad, but isn’t very exciting either. There are some cool new move sets like Combined Moves which are normal attacks that create more powerful effects if used in tandem with your partner. The game’s cover Pokemon, Zekrom and Reshiram, utilize this with a pair of devastating fusion attacks.
For the most part, Black/White looks and sounds better than previous Pokemon games. The graphics engine is the same, but this time the camera has been shifted down, showcasing the 3D elements more. There are moments when the game looks great, with sweeping camera movements and changed perspectives. Somebody at Game Freak must love bridges because there are numerous huge bridges to cross. Walking across the Skyarrow Bridge plays like a love letter to the Honshu-Shikoku Bridge Authority (that’s a Japanese bridge joke!). That doesn’t stop the game from looking downright ancient in parts though. Pokemon are still pixelated, so when they’re blown up on the screen Black/White looks like a Game Boy Advance game.
There are no familiar faces in Pokemon Black/White though. For the first time since Red/Blue, older Pokemon do not return (at least in the beginning). As you trek through the 40-some hours of the story mode, you’ll see nothing but brand new Pokemon. This means that when you go into a cave, you won’t see the same damn Zubat and Geodude you always see. Instead, there’s some new guy named Roggenrola to catch. This is often awesome; seeing new Pokemon every few minutes recaptures that feeling of adventure the first game had.
So, is Pokemon Black and White Pokedex a good game? My answer is simple. YES it is!! For those of you who have never experienced Pokemon, then this latest version is a great place to start. Aside from a weaker lineup of monsters, this is the best Pokemon has to offer on every level, renewing my waning interest in monster battling. It proves that the Pokemon series is still rock solid after a decade and a half.
In conclusion, the ‘subtle’ differences that define both versions are loud enough to be heard for hardcore Pokémon addicts. If you love Pokémon battles, you’ll love Black. If you love exploration and the thrill of capturing wild Pokémon, White is the version for you. Whichever version you pick, you’ll find comfort in the fact that both include Vanillite, the ice-style ice-cream Pokémon!

Pokemon Black and White Pokedex Action Replay Codes
Hey Guys, here I will cover off on some of the many cheats for pokemon Black and White Pokedex. Feel free to leave a comment if I’ve missed any others.
Change Your Online Player Class and Nature
Open up your X Menu and select the option that has your name on it (your trainer card), and it’ll bring you to a screen that shows all of your gym badges. From here, click the icon on the bottom left of the screen to bring up your trainer card. There are 2 categories underneath your name that you can change. The top one is your class, and the second one is your nature. This effects how you appear in the Wi-Fi rooms or on your friend’s DS when in a trade, battle, etc. At the very bottom there’s even a personal quote you can enter that others can see when they look at your trainer card.
The Masuda Method
Usually, the chance of encountering a Shiny Pokemon is 1 in 8192. By breeding two Pokemon in the Daycare that are from two different regions (Japan, Europe and America), the chance of breeding a Shiny is increased to 1 in 2048. The Pokemon cannot be from the same different region, but one from one region and the other from another region.
Battle the Rich for Lots of Money
Go to Undella Town and go west until you find a big mansion. The rich kid here will battle you every day for more money (make sure you have the Amulet Coin equipped). Each battle will be harder than the previous one but with more reward money.
Catch Landorus
You must first have the National Dex. You must also have Thundurus and Tornadus in your party. Thundurus is from Pokemon Black and Tornadus from White so expect to trade for one of them.
Once you have both Tornadus and Thundurus in your party, head to the Abundant Shrine off of Route 14 and click on the shrine. Landorus will fly down to fight you. It is level 70 and has a low catch rate so be prepared with plenty of high level pokemon, pokeballs and medicines.
TMs That Change Across Games
There are some TM’s that you might want to consider teaching your Pokemon before you transfer them over into the next generation. These are the 4th Generation TMs that will be replaced with a different move in the 5th generation. Therefore you should think about teaching a Pokemon that move before you transfer it. Probably one of the most notable TM changes is the replacement of Stealth Rock, so if you want a good Stealth Rocking Pokemon you better teach it in HeartGold, Soulsilver, Pearl, Diamond, or Platinum before you transfer it to Black or White.

How To Catch a Pokemon with a Good Nature
This only works for the few Pokemon that you have a choice to battle, in other words, Pokemon that you have to interact with to battle them. An example would be fighting Victini.
Go up to the Pokemon, save the game, battle it and capture it. Look at the nature of the Pokemon to see if it’s the nature you want. If it is, great, but if it isn’t you can turn the game off, turn it back on, and resume at the last save point, which would be before you battled the Pokemon. Once you battle the Pokemon again it will have a different nature. Doing this will allow you to battle and capture it over and over until you get the right nature.
